41 But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! 42 There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:41-42)
41 耶穌回答說：「馬大！馬大！你為許多的事思慮煩擾，42 但是不可少的只有一件，馬利亞已經選擇那上好的福分，是不能奪去的。」(路加福音 10:41-42)
Question: What is that one necessary thing?
In order to know what is the one thing we need to understand what are the "many things" bothering Martha.
Jesus is looking into Martha's heart that is clusttered with so many restlessness while Mary has a calm and peaceful heart.
Issue is not kitchen or living room
but because she asked Jesus to vindicate Mary. If Mary has done the same to Jesus referring to Martha wasting time in kitchen, Jesus would have rebuked her in the same way.
The principle is the same, that Jesus cares about our hearts more than anything else.

Back to the basic: like a child that can answer firmly our hearts is to love God.

Discipling the inner life
Lesson learned:
Don't be vindicative, come to Jesus with a calm and peaceful heart.
Application in ministry:
Accept that each of us anwerable to God, do MY best in MY part, don't cluttered with what others are failing to do.
